    Frozen Mojito Mocktail

Jump to Recipe Jump to Video Print Recipe

A cool, refreshing minty frozen mojito mocktail is the perfect drink for warm afternoons, celebrations or a treat all to yourself. Just blend fresh mint, limeade, and a hint of ginger and you have the best virgin mojito (but in slushy frozen mocktail form).

Birds Eye view of two cups filled with mojito mocktail with limes and mint as garnishes.

    Why this Mojito Mocktail Works?

    • It's the perfect balance of tart, sweet without being overly sweet.
    • The frozen texture slushy hits the spot all year around.
    • Pairs with any meal or can be used as a dessert!
    • Takes literally 5 Minutes!

What Is A Frozen Mojito Mocktail?

Frozen cocktails are not unusual. A blended mixture of your favorite cocktail- so we make this but without the rum.

This virgin mojito recipe is one I tried while in Costa Rica. The three main ingredients were mint, ginger, limes.  They brought me was an icey, minty limeade. It was bursting with flavor. I can't wait for you to try it.

What Do I Need To Make Frozen Mojito Mocktail?

You'll need to add the following to your grocery list:

    • frozen limeade concentrate
    • fresh mint
    • fresh ginger
    • ice
    • limes for garnish
Mojito mocktail ingredients on a tray.

How To Make This Virgin Mocktail

It's so fast and simple! This limeade only requires a few ingredients- but it is the combination of the ingredients that makes it incredible.

Four photos showing adding ingredients to a blender and then blending into a slushy.
    1. Add your liquids
    2. Add your mint and ginger
    3. Add all ice
    4. Blend until smooth!

    How To Serve

You can serve straight from the blender jar. If you want a more gourmet presentation add your mocktail slush to a glass pitcher. Fill it with lime slices and top with mint leaves.

    How do I store leftovers?

You'll want to place them in the freezer. When you are ready to drink again allow it to defrost but not completely melt. When it's softer place back in the blender.

Where do I find frozen limeade concentrate?

Sometimes it can be tricky to find frozen limeade concentrate, I'll admit. I have no issues picking it up from my local Walmart. Great Value has a good limeade.

Can I use limeade that has already been mixed with water?

If you choose to use limeade that is already mixed and diluted I recommend reserving a 1-2 cups and freezing the remaining into ice cubes. Once frozen blend together with ice and ginger.

Just got back from Costa Rica and had that same drink at the same restaurant. Based on the picture it looks like we were also at the same table. I came to the internet to search for a recipe for the drink because it was so good! I’ll be trying it as soon as the weather warms up.

What drinks can you do with "lavender" other than lemonade? (I sing; so I quit doing lemonade long time ago; (& tea!) Beth
