Who else struggles with breakfast!? I am ALWAYS rushed in the morning, so my go-to breakfast is always a shake. I’ve come up with some fun, tasty recipes over the years – and so I thought I’d share one of my staples today. With all of the processed foods these days I like to start off the day with something that is good for me, so I find a breakfast shake to be just what I need to start my day off right!
The base of my breakfast shake today is the new Kashi® Organic Breakfast Superblends in Cocoa Awakening. This baby is packed with super foods and plant proteins. It is vegan, gluten free, dairy free, and organic – you can’t get much cleaner than that! The blend can be purchased at Target.com, and we even have a coupon code for our readers for $10 off if you want to give this breakfast a test drive. I am addicted to online shopping…like addicted. Who else is with me?

This Kashi Organic Breakfast Superblends powder can be thrown into a blender with some almond milk, ice, and banana for a quick on-the-go shake, or you can turn it into a tasty recipe like muffins, pancakes, cookies, or even homemade ice cream. Today I’m going to show you how to create an almond joy inspired breakfast shake that is full of clean ingredients and packed with the energy you need to make your day a home run.
Let me give you the run down. In my blender I throw in 8 ice cubes, 2 ripe organic bananas, 10 ounces of coconut milk, 1/8 cup flake coconut, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 tbsp almond butter, and 2 scoops of the Kashi Organic Superblends powder in cocoa awakening. Give the blender a whirl and fill your cup with a clean almond joy breakfast shake. This powder is not overly sweet – so you will not feel like you’re eating dessert for breakfast, but rather a wholesome meal that is nourishing your body.
If you don’t have coconut milk on hand, you can substitute another milk like almond or dairy – but I like to have some almond and coconut milk handy for my morning shakes. I really prefer the flavor in shakes over dairy milk.
