A few weeks ago Des and I attended an event in Los Angeles. We had a chat about how there are drink people and non-drink people. Drink people always have a drink nearby, always offer a drink to guests, and love drinks. Non-drink people, well, don’t. I’m definitely a drink person. A special recipe for a holiday or party is always on my list, and this Red, White, and Blueberry Spritzer with Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider is no exception.
4th of July
I love Independence Day. I love our country and I love celebrating how great we are. In addition to my patriotism, I really love backyard BBQs, warm nights filled with fireworks, and being surrounded by people I love. So when I brainstormed this recipe I knew it would be really patriotic. I added strawberries, blueberries, and dragonfruit to represent the red, white and blue…and I added a splash of grapefruit juice and some Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider for some bubbly.
Martinelli’s For Every Occasion
I have really fond memories of toasting with Martinelli’s on Thanksgiving and New Years Eve. As kids we always looked forward to that glass of sparkling cider on that special occasion. I don’t drink alcohol, so it is still my go to for any celebration. Martinelli’s Sparkling Cider makes their product with 100% juice from U.S. grown fresh apples, so I love supporting products made in the USA.Potato Salad, Lemon Lime Chicken, and cucumber salad for a really delicious spread. I always think that it is the details that make something extra special, and this Red, White, and Blueberry Spritzer certainly fits that description. You and your family won’t be able to resist this beautiful drink!
This special spritzer is the perfect pair for your 4th of July potluck.
