This Italian bowl is a nod to the buddha-bowl style lunches. Here was are combining a starch (pasta) with a protein and veggies. Instead of serving this family style like most Italian meals, we are dishing it up all together in a bowl. It's beautiful and delicious.
What Should I Add To My Grocery List?
- penne pasta
- jarred marinara
- frozen meatballs (or ingredients for homemade)
- broccoli
- parmesan cheese
How Do I Make This Meatball Italian Bowl?
I've really loved eating meatballs for lunch for a long time. An old favorite was spaghetti squash with meatballs. They have an authentic flavor and are simple to heat.
- Roast your broccoli by cleaning, chopping, and tossing in olive oil. Sprinkle with a little salt and pepper. Bake on a baking sheet at 375 for about 5-10 minutes until tender.
- Cook your pasta according to the package directions.

- Add pasta to your bowl
- Place meatballs in your bowl.
- Add roasted broccoli to your bowl.
- Pour in marinara.
- Garnish with parmesan. Serve immediate.
