My mom attended a cookie exchange every year at my grandma's house. All of her cousins, aunts, and friends were invited. They went BIG and baked a dozen cookies for each person in attendance. She would come home with laundry baskets full of cookies. Some delicious, some that went in the trash, ha ha! But it was an event that everyone looked forward to.
In recent years I've attended cookie exchanges where each person brought a dozen cookies and left with a dozen assorted cookies. This certainly makes things simpler and helps your waistline. If you're new to cookie exchanges - here are the rules:
Cookie Exchange Rules
- Invite Guests
- Instruct each guest to bring one dozen cookies
- Share recipes and eat cookies
- Vote for the best cookie
- Provide each guest with a box to take home an assortment of cookies
Cookie Competition
A little friendly competition makes things exciting, yes? Hold a "Best Cookie" contest and let your guests cast their vote after sampling all the goodies. We've got ballot cards to make your contest perfect.
Download the ballot slips HERE.
Party Favors
What about a favor for your guest?! Thank them for their hours in the kitchen and for the oh so delicioso contributions! We tied our little thank you cards to a mini cookie cuter. They made a perfect little favor for our friends.

The Recipe Card
Your guest will most definitely want to take home instructions on re-creating the little piece of heaven they just consumed...so give them a recipe card to jot down the specifics.

Hi there,
You have designed a beautiful invitation and voting cards. I have a question. Would you be willing to design a voting card similiar to the one on this page? I do a cookie exchange every year but i have 3 categories that I vote on. Most Unique, Best Tasting, and Most Festive. Also, I instead of blue could you change the color to green? I love the thank you cards as well. How much would you charge?
Thank you,
Aprille Lambert
