We recently had the opportunity to assist Megan, from E.Interiors in her collaboration with World Market. Megan is someone I love! She not only has impeccable style and taste but has a generous heart, is smart in business and loving mother & friend. World Market approached her for a holiday entertaining post and she asked if I would be interested in providing food! I couldn't turn her down. Over on her post you can find tips and tricks for entertaining during holiday, but for this post I want to share the recipes I chose and why...
- A Naked Cake (I feel so naughty every.single.time. I write that) This guy is actually a lot easier than he looks. The best part is its a SHOW STOPPER. You can find the Cake Stand at the bottom of the post!
In The Details
Friends go crazy over them. Take 2 yellow cake mixes, divide them into 3 round cake pans (the smallest one I own, and top it all with HOMEMADE BUTTERCREAM FROSTING.
I have made this cake a few times for client photo shoots, because of its stunning appearance. You can top it with fruit, fresh flowers, or as we did here succulents. You can find small succulents in the garden center at lowes or home depot for about $3-$4. The Gold Flatware is linked at the bottom of the post.
2. BAKED BRIE! What says fancy party better than fancy cheese, crackers and sparkling drinks? Baked Brie is a crowd pleaser. The cheese is not too strong for picky eaters, but sophisticated enough for cheese connoisseurs. This recipe was handed down to me from a dear friend, which you can find all about it HERE.
This cutting board linked at the bottom of the post.
You can find the Candle Holders pictured below.
3. SPINACH SALAD. cause, you know. It;s about balance. And no one can turn down a fresh salad full of delicious crunchy veggies and HOMADE POPPYSEED DRESSING.
The whole setting was beautiful! All of the items we used we found at Cost Plus World Market.
I'm making it easier and putting all the products right here for you to shop!!
