This is one of our family's favorites. I started making it a while ago because 1. I was out of groceries, but had a few veggies. 2. we were out of money till pay day and 3. I was out of time. SO if you have even one of these problems...well, even if you don't. You need to make this sausage + veggie sheet pan meal. It is packed with flavor, veggies and whole foods. Everyone from kids to picky adults will love it. The Veggies 1.You can fill your pan up with any vegetable or root vegetable . . .
My favorite way to eat sweet potatoes are in fry form. I love sweet potatoes in all forms with all sorts of different spices and especially with THIS lime cilantro dip. Sprialize a few sweet potatoes, toss in oil (avocado is my favorite) and seasoning salts and toss in the oven. Out comes delicious, baked curly sweet potatoes. This KitchenAid Sprializer is my new favorite kitchen tool, along with the KitchenAid MINI! We've been on a zoodles and apples kick but now we've moved on to sweet . . .
Last summer I sat on a warm, sunny SoCal beach next to my dear friend who was eating a lunch similar to this Mexi-quinoa buddha bowl. Gosh it looked so good, and I was SO hungry. I love going to the beach all day, soaking in the sun and sea air, but really struggle with a meal to bring for myself! PBJ's are great for the kids-- not me. I struggle in general with coming up with good lunches for myself. So making lunch ahead of time, like this Mexi-quinoa buddha bowl or Kadee's Burritos buddha . . .
As we meandered through Sprouts my 4 year old spotted some brussels sprouts and begged me to get them! Taken aback, and not quite wanting to buy them I tried to put him off by telling him we would swing back and grab them later. When we walked near them at the end of our shopping, sure enough he remembered and asked for them. We walked out of the store with a bag full of sprouts and a head held high. When your 4 year old is begging for BRUSSELS SPROUTS you get them right? We went right . . .
I've had these Chili-Lime tacos on my to-do list for quite some time. I just felt like something was not complete about them. So while I worked on my taco marinade recipe, I searched for the perfect umph to make the whole meal unique.... See, my daughter won an eating contest at the Orange County Fair a few months ago... bless her heart, she's her mama's girl <3 Her prize was a gift certificate to Wahoo's Fish Taco. And last week we finally decided to use that bad boy. It was then and . . .
I love smoothies- for my kids. As for myself and drinking them- I dunno, I just don't love them. I've been following a friend's account for years and she is who really turned me on to juicing. I oooo'ed and awww'ed over her morning juices forever and finally Kadee surprised me and sent me one from Kohls, a Jack Lalanne's Power Juicer Express (but in white). It took me a while to get it out of the box. I was kind of intimidated by it. What to I use, how much do I use? What do I combine, what do I . . .
Megan is a woman and mother I truly admire. Not only is she seriously talented and so creative but she has the courage to make her dreams REAL. How many of us have great ideas? All of us right? But she goes out into an unknown world and conquers it. She does it with grace, kindness-- and all while raising a beautiful family. I cannot sing enough praises about Megan. As you follow her you will love her too. So please go find her blog and instagram! You'll be hooked. Hey there! I am . . .
Finally! I have fixed the bitter taste of a Brussel sprout; a vegetable I swore I would never eat again. I am a vegetable lover, but could never quite get into these green bitter balls. You know how it was fixed? Drum roll please........Coconut oil! It counter acts the bitter with a sweet coconut zest. These are so easy to make and you will actually ask for more. Not only did the food taste delicious, but the decor was just beautiful. To help pull off this look, choose a . . .
