I've always loved granola bars.  In college I would carry them in my backpack for an quick and easy snack - and now I carry them in my purse to tide me over while I'm out shopping, or to hand to my little boys if their tummies start to growl.

    Better For You

Homemade granola bars have half of the ingredients you find in a store bought granola bar, they are easy to make (my kind of food), and DELICIOUS! When Dole asked us if we wanted to partner with them to create a snack hack using some of their products - I knew these granola bars would be a perfect fit!  While these bars do have sugar, they are still a better for you option because we've nixed all of the preservatives and high fructose corn syrup.

    No Bake

These guys are a no bake version, which I love. Anytime I can avoid turning on the oven, I'm all in.  Because they are no bake - they aren't going to have as firm of a texture as a baked bar.  These a chewy and delicious.  I like to wrap them in parchment paper so they keep their shape.

    Dole Raisins

For my add ins I used Dole raisins.  I did half golden and half regular raisins for some variety.  I love how plump and delicious these guys are, and I love that they come in a zipper bag so that they stay nice and fresh.  My kids love raisins, so these are the perfect addition to our granola bars.

    A Perfect After School Snack

A homemade granola bar and a glass of milk is the perfect after school snack for my kids.  These bars have peanut butter in them, so they have a bit of protein to keep my kids satisfied until dinner.  These are also a great option for me, for the same reasons.

This post was created in partnership with Dole Sunshine.  As always, all opinions are my own.
