Baked Strawberry Pie

Baked Strawberry Pie is famous for it's creamy, tart and sweet filling. Pair it with Grandma's flakey crust and you have a winner. This is the perfect for any occasion- especially during strawberry season! You can substutie some strawberries for rhubarb and have the best strawberry rhubarb pie ever!

Ingredients – 6 cups strawberries slices – 1 cup sugar – ¼ cup corn starch – ¼ teaspoon salt – ¼ teaspoon nutmeg – ¼ tsp cinnamon – 2 Tbsp lemon juice – 1 tablespoon butter – 1 egg white – 3 tablespoon water

1. Add your corn starch. 2. Add spices, salt, and sugar. 3. Add strawberries that have been washed, hulled, and sliced. 4. Squeeze lemon juice.

5. Stir the sugar mixture together with strawberries. 6. Continue to stir until sugar is incorporate.  7. Lay pie crusts in the bottom of pie pan. 8. Add strawberries.

9. Roll our pie crusts and cut dough into strips. Place longest strips of dough on top, spacing them evenly apart.  10. Fold every other strip halfway back, then place another strip across.  11. Repeat until covered in a lattice pattern. 12. Trim edges to fit pie dish and fold edges of the top and bottom crusts together.

13. Make egg wash.  14. Brush top of the pie crust.  15. Top with a dusting of sugar. 16. Bake
