Homemade Brown Sugar and Pineapple Ham Glaze

Making a homemade ham glaze is so easy and chances are you have all the ingredients for this glaze in your cupboards now!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup pineapple juice
  • ½ teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Pineapple Slices optional

Instructions

  • Heat ham according to directions.
  • In a bowl, whisk glaze ingredients together.
  • Pour into a sauce pan and heat to a boil over medium/high heat while whisking.
  • Allow to boil for 3-5 minutes or until thickened slightly and remove from heat.
  • Allow to cool.
  • Durning the last 10 minutes of cooking, remove ham and brush glaze over. Return to oven uncovered and turn up heat to 425 deg. F.
  • Repeat glaze and additional 10 minutes of cooking for an extra thick glaze.
