HOMEMADECREAMED CORN 

▢ 24 oz frozen corn 1 lb ▢ 12 oz whipping cream ▢ 1 ½ Tablespoon melted butter ▢ 1 ½ Tablespoon flour use cup-4-cup for gluten free creamed corn ▢ ½ teaspoon salt ▢ 2 Tablespoon sugar ▢ pinch of white pepper or fresh cracked pepper will work too! ▢ 4 Tablespoon Parmesan cheese add more as desired. ▢ 4 strips bacon

INGREDIENTS

Cut your bacon strips into small pieces and fry in large fry or saute pan (that has a lid). Remove from pan and leave about 1-2 tbs of bacon grease, discarding any extra.

STEP 1

In the same pan Make a roux, Melt butter, whisk in flour and let bubble for 1-2 minutes.

STEP 2

Slowly whisk in cream, salt, sugar, and white pepper in a pot and bring to a boil. Stir in corn, 2 tbs parmesan cheese and half the bacon. Stirring constantly so it doesn't boil. Then turn to Low and simmer 5 minutes.

STEP 3

Transfer corn to a casserole dish, Sprinkle with remaining cheese and bacon brown under a boiler. only a minute or 2.

STEP 4

Serve with your favorite main dish! Makes a perfect Thanksgiving side dish or any time of year!
