These sweet and sour kabobs are just like the Bengal BBQ at Disneyland. They're full of flavor and so easy to make!

Ingredients
Sweet & Sour Kabobs
  • 3 chicken breasts cut into bite sized cubes
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup rice vinegar
  • 4 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Skewers
  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 1 pound bacon
Instructions
Sweet and Sour Skewers
  1. For Kabobs thread chicken, pineapple, a pepper on to wooden or metal skewers, alternating ingredients and leaving some space in between.
  2. In a small sauce pan combine remaining ingredients.
  3. Bring a a simmer over medium high heat, whisking constantly until sauce is thickened.
  4. Reserve half of sauce for use at the table.
  5. Brush remaining sauce over kabobs.
  6. Grill over medium heat for 3-4 minutes each side, or until chicken is cooked thru.
Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Skewers
  1. Wash and trim asparagus. Cut into 2 inch pieces
  2. Cut bacon slices into thirds.
  3. Wrap bacon around asparagus piece and thread onto metal skewer.
  4. Grill over medium heat for 3 minutes each side, or until bacon is crisped.
