Cinnamon Apples Recipe

Sweet juicy apples and salty bacon sauteed together to create the best pancake topping!

Equipment

  • Apple Peeler
  • Cast Iron Skillet

Ingredients

  • 2-3 slices of bacon
  • 6 cups of diced Apples 3 large apples or 6 small
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • ½ cup Water
  • 2 teaspoon Cornstarch
  • ½ cup Brown Sugar
  • ½ teaspoon Cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Nutmeg

Instructions

  • Cook your bacon, let drain on a paper towel lined plate. Dice into ½ inch pieces.
  • Peel and dice apples.
  • Melt butter in a skillet and add apples.
  • Sauté apples in butter for about 7 minutes, or until slightly soften.
  • Mix cornstarch in water until dissolved then add to skillet. Stir to combine.
  • Add in brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir well and simmer for about 2 minutes.
  • Stir in bacon bits/pieces.
  • Serve over pancakes, pork, ice cream, oatmeal or anything you desire.
