Sweet juicy apples and salty bacon sauteed together to create the best pancake topping!

Ingredients
  • 6 cups of diced Apples 3 large apples
  • 4 Tbsp Butter
  • 1/2 C Water
  • 2 tsp Cornstarch
  • 1/2 C Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg
  • Large handful of Bacon pieces
Instructions
  1. Peel and dice apples.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet and add apples.
  3. Sauté apples in butter for about 7 minutes, or until slightly soften.
  4. Mix cornstarch in water until dissolved then add to skillet.
  5. Add in brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir well and simmer for about 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in bacon bits/pieces.
  7. Serve over pancakes, pork, ice cream, oatmeal or anything you desire.
Recipe Notes

I used large Honeycrisp Apples, but any crisp tart apple will work.
Can be made ahead of time and reheated.
