Fudge Truffles

What's even better then just fudge, is chocolate-coated fudge!

  • 1 batch of fudge
  • 2 cup good chocolate for melting
  • Crisco
  • Toppings crushed candy canes, nuts, coconut, crumbled candy bars
  • Parchment Paper


  • Cut your fudge into bite sized pieces.
  • Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  • Roll fudge into small balls and line on parchment paper.
  • Prepare toppings.
  • Melt chocolate slowly in microwave at 30 second increments, stirring frequently.
  • When melted, stir in a teaspoon of crisco at a time to thin the chocolate until desired consistency is reached.
  • Dip fudge balls into chocolate using a toothpick. Once coated place on parchment paper.
  • Add topping while chocolate is still wet.
  • Allow chocolate to cool and harden before handling.


For fudge that is a little dry microwave a few at a time for a few seconds
