Instant Pot Hard Boiled Eggs Q&A

How many eggs can I make in the pressure cooker?
between 2-24 eggs.  Despite the number of eggs - add 1 cup of water and cook for 5 minutes.

Can you overcook a hard boiled egg?
When it comes to boiling eggs, a common complaint is overcooking, leading to a dark green color around the yolk.  I've found that the yolk of a hard boiled egg is a personal preference.  If you like your yolk slightly less cooked, try using 4 minutes for your cook time with a 4 minutes release.  Or 3 minutes with a 3 minute release for a softer center.

Should I peel hard boiled eggs immediately?
Once eggs are cooked, they should be used within one week. It doesn't matter if they are peeled or not.

What if I don't have a trivet?
The eggs can touch the bottom and sides of the pot, but it will burn the shell.  This burn won't affect the flavor of the egg, but will leave a dark mark on the shell.

What can I make with hard boiled eggs?
They are delicious eaten on their own, but you can also make:
add them to a salad
