Oriental Cabbage Salad

Guys, this is the BEST and the original ramen noodle salad recipe. It has a little bit of crunch, a little bit of sweet tangy-ness, a lot of savory goodness all wrapped into one.

Ingredients

Salad

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 packages beef Ramen Noodles
  • 1 cup chopped green onions
  • ½ cup sliced or slivered almonds
  • 1 small head of cabbage (about 4 cups)

Dressing

  • ½ cup Sesame Seed oil or olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ cup sugar
  • cup rice vinegar

Instructions

  • Crush ramen noodles and brown in butter with the almonds and green onions. Add in the beef seasoning packages at the end and stir to combine.
  • Thinly shredded your cabbage. (A short cut is to by a bag of shredded cabbage)
  • Toss salad dressing, cabbage and noodle mixture together. Serve!

Notes

You can substitute bagged cabbage for a head of cabbage.
You can use Chicken, Beef or Pork flavored ramen noodles.
