  • 3 cups sugar
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 15 oz can of pumpkin
  • 4 eggs lightly beaten
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp all spice
  • 1/2 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

  2. With a hand or stand mixer, mix 3 cups sugar, oil, pumpkin, water and 4 eggs until well combined.

  3. In a separate bowl combine baking powder, baking soda nutmeg, all spice, cloves, cinnamon, 3 ½ cups flour, and salt.
  4. Add dry mixture to wet mixture and mix until well combined. Stir in chocolate chips.
  5. Spray two 9 inch loaf pans with non-stick spray. Add 1/2 of the batter to each loaf pan
  6. Bake for 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  7. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
  8. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Recipe Notes

If edges become brown, cover with foil for last half of baking.
