FAQ
What is the origin of the cake shake?
The cake shake originated in Chicago at a place called Portillo's. They are famous for their hot dogs, sandwiches and chocolate cake. They use their chocolate cake to make a milk shake that is insanely good.
Are there variations on this cake shake?
Obviously we went for birthday cake by using vanilla cupcakes and sprinkles. But the OG is made with chocolate cake. You could also do a strawberry shortcake version using strawberry ice cream and angle food cake.
Do you have a blender you recommend?
I like the Blendtec. I've had mine for years and it has never let me down.
