The Best Red Velvet Trifle

This Red Velvet Trifle made with fluffy chocolatey red velvet cake, fresh juicy raspberries, and a creamy cream cheese yogurt filling with a hint of lemon is going to be your new favorite dessert. Ingredients

  • 1 red velvet cake mix
  • 2 pint fresh raspberries

Cream Cheese Filling

  • 2 cups vanilla yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 16 ounces packages cream cheese- room temp
  • 1 cup powder sugar

Instructions

  • Cook cake according to directions.
  • In a separate bowl beat cream cheese until creamy and then add zest, yogurt, and powder sugar.
  • When cake is completely cooled, cut into 1 inch squares and layer into trifle bowl with the cream mix.
  • Cover and let chill for at least an hour.
  • Top with raspberries and more lemon zest for presentation.

  • Allow the cake to cool completely. You can even bake the cake the day before so you don't have to wait around for it to cool.
