Applesauce Chocolate Chip Cookies

​Apllesauce chocolate chip cookies are sweet, fluffy moist using NO SUGAR. Applesause is a helathy sweet alternative to make these cookies delicious.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup softened butter
  • ½ cup shortening
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cup applesauce
  • 2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt omit if using salted butter
  • 1 pkg of chocolate chips

Instructions

  • Cream together butter, shortening, eggs, vanilla
  • In a small bowl combine applesauce and baking soda
  • Add to butter mixture, gradually add flour, add salt, stir in chocolate chips and drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 350 for 12-15 minutes
  • Makes about 3 dozen

Notes

The applesauce IS THE SWEETENER. so if you are using "organic unsweetened applesauce" it will not be a sweet cookie. Please use common sense when making this recipe. If you use zero sugar it will taste similar to using zero sugar. Apples are slightly sweet and tart by themselves but unsweetened applesauce (usually Watered down and preservatives  added) will be even less sweet than applesauce.
