A copycat for the delicious Chick-Fil-A Â watermelon mint lemonade. With a summer weather upon us - there is really nothing like a nice cold glass of refreshing lemonade - and let me tell you, the mint-infused simple syrup makes this drink extra delicious! Â Made in your blender, this easy recipe will hit the spot without breaking a sweat.
What is Watermelon Lemonade?
Watermelon lemonade is a twist on classic lemonade, but modernized with the addition of watermelon puree and mint simple syrup. Â The combination is refreshing and delicious.
What Do I Need To Make This Chick-Fil-A Copycat?
You'll need:
- watermelon
- lemons
- fresh mint
- sugar
- water
- ice
How Do You Make Watermelon Mint Lemonade?
I started this recipe by creating a simple syrup infused with mint leaves. Â A simple syrup us a cinch to make and the base of tons of drinks. Â And the addition of the mint will make this simple syrup smell like a dream! Let me tell you all about it:
- Combine water, sugar, and mint in a small saucepan. Â Heat over medium-high heat until sugar is melted. Â Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Strain the simple syrup through a fine mesh strainer to remove the mint leaves. Â You'll be left with a to-die-for mint simple syrup.
- Combine watermelon, lemons (rind removed), ice, water, and simple syrup in a blender.
- If using a Blendtec - select the whole juice setting. Â If using another blender - blend until completely smooth. I used my Blendtec to create this lemonade. Â The whole juice setting is amazing and makes homemade lemonade the easiest thing ever.
- Serve over ice.
Pro Tip: Forget juicing those lemons! Â Just remove the rind and throw them in whole! Having a fresh whole juice with ripe water melon and tangy lemons is going to knock your socks off. Â Say goodbye to that powdered stuff.
note: If you would rather juice your lemons than blend them - increase lemons to 6, and squeeze the juice from them. Use this in place of the whole lemons.
Watermelon Lemonade Q&A
How Long Does Homemade Lemonade Last?
The lemonade will last about 2 weeks in your fridge. Â You can also freeze homemade lemonade! Â It will keep in your freezer for about 3 months.
How do I get more Juice from my lemons?
A few pro tips to get more juice out of your lemons are:
- Press down and roll the lemon against your counter with the palm of your hand.
- Place the lemon in the microwave for 10 seconds.
Can I use storebough lemon juice?
I do not recommend using store bought. Â It does not taste the same. Â Fresh is best.
How can I alter this recipe?
Add water for a lighter flavor, or add more simple syrup for a sweeter flavor.

This might be a dumb question but you said peel lemons. What about the seeds? Do you mean juice 4 lemons?
Kadee says
If you are using a high powered blender, the seeds get completely blended, so I just remove the rind because it is bitter. If you are not using a high powered blender like a Blendtec or vitamin, I would recommend juicing the lemons.

I just made this and it is delightful! Very light and refreshing. I might reduce the amount of sugar just for kicks and giggles and see if it effects the flavor. The mint syrup adds a beautiful touch.
