    Why This Recipe Works

Let's just call this dip heaven on a chip.  This is an indulgent dip made from Italian sausage, cream cheese, and a tomato/green chili blend.  You can serve it with chips, sliced bread, or veggies.

    About The Ingredients

Easy sausage dip ingredients on a white washed cutting board.

This dip is terribly easy.  Here are a few notes about the ingredients.

    1. 2 pounds Italian sausage - buy the ground version.
    2. 20 ounces ro-tel - these are simply diced tomatoes with green chilis.

How Do You Make Easy Sausage Dip?

    How to make sausage dip

Making the dip is nearly as simple as the ingredient list!

    1. Brown sausage in a large skillet over medium heat.
    2. Melt cream cheese into sausage.
    3. Add rotel and heat thru.
    4. (These next steps are optional) transfer to a casserole dish.
    5. Top with shredded mozzarella, heat under broiler until bubbly.
    6. Garnish and serve with corn chips, bread, or veggies.

Pro Tip: If skipping the mozzarella step, serve dip in a crockpot to keep it warm.

    You Pick The Heat Level!

The sausage mixed with tomatoes with green chilis is what gives this dip a little kick. If you want a lot of heat, buy hot sausage and the "hot" ro-tel. We stick to mild all around and it has plenty of flavor and spicy for our taste.
