How To Make Creamy Peach Protein Popsicles
This Recipe is literally as easy as placing everything in the blender and blend. Always start with items that have the most liquid- like the yogurt or peaches.
If you like a little added texture to your popsicles consider adding some fresh peach slices in the popsicle molds first. My kids love the surprise!
Add Peach Popsicle Mixture to Popsicle Molds
Fill the mold about ¾ full just to make sure it won't overflow when expanding as its freezing.
Freeze! + How To Make Your Popsicle Stick Straight
Here are a few tips to having a stick straight handles:
- Let the popsicle freeze for 30-60 minutes, the liquid will firm up and then you can add the stick.
- Purchase a mold with a lid included- mine came with a lid with slots so I can slip the sticks in and they stay until frozen.
- Add fresh fruit. Adding the fruit holds up the stick :)
FAQ's
Popsicles take about 4-8 Hours to completely freeze.
To help your popsicles last longer I highly recommend removing from the popsicle mold after they are freezing and storing in an air tight container. Wrapping them plastic wrap will before placing in an air tight bag/container will also help keep their freshness.
YES! If peaches are out of season you can use canned or frozen peaches in place of fresh peaches. They sometimes will be over sweet (peaches canned in syrup) or not sweet enough (frozen peaches) so make sure to adjust the amount of honey you add to the blender.
Because we don't all have the same popsicle mold (you can get mine from amazon here) it can be tricky to know how much to make in advance. Before making the smoothie pour water into your popsicle molds 1 cup at a time. My molds hold about 4 cups of liquid.
ALSO If adding fresh fruit then you don't need to make as much. But now I have a good idea on how much to make. This peaches and cream smoothie popsicle recipe makes 4 cups. If you have extra serve to your kids as a drink!
