What do I need to make easy spinach artichoke dip?
The key ingredients to a really delicious hot cheesy spinach and artichoke dip are these:
- Fresh Spinach! We love Taylor Farms fresh produce, because they are the freshest and the best! Many spinach and artichoke dips call for frozen spinach. That’s way too complicated! 100% go for the fresh stuff. You never have to worry about draining the water or thawing with Taylor Farm’s spinach. It even comes washed nice and clean for you! THE BEST!
- Mayo– use your favorite tasting mayo! I love trader Joes or Hellmann’s/Best Food’s Mayo. It does make a difference.
- Cream Cheese- you can totally use low fat too if you want.
- Canned Artichoke hearts IN WATER not marinated or in oil.
- delicious spices.
- Parmesan cheese- again make sure you are getting a brand you trust. Fresh delicious cheese always!
- SECRET INGREDIENT! a squeeze of fresh lemon.
How to make hot creamy cheesy artichoke dip-
I like to start by chopping my artichoke hearts in half and getting all the ingredients ready. Then I take my room temperature cream cheese and beat it using a hand held mixer. Beat it so it is fluffy and smooth.
Then add in your mayo and parmesan cheese. This doesn’t need a ton more mixing, just so it is incorporated.
Add in your chunky ingredients- the spinach and artichokes alongs with the spices and lemon juice.
Stir until everything is nice and coated.
In a oven safe small pan or cups place spinach artichoke dips into the cups and top with cheese!
What do I bake spinach artichoke dip in?
This recipe would fill an 8×8 pan.You can use glass, metal, or any other material. You can also branch out and use a pie dish or like pictured, I used 2 oven safe french onion soup bowls! The only requirement is to use oven safe. If you are worried about it sticking too much spray a non-stick spray before placing into the baking dish.
How long do I bake Spinach Artichoke dip?
If you are using a different sized pan than in the recipe card don’t worry! it’s pretty obvious when your spinach artichoke dip is ready to be served. You want it to be golden brown on top and nice and bubbly!
What do I serve hot cheesy artichoke dip with?
My favorite is a nice, crusty baguette cut crosswise and thin. My mouth is drooling right now.
I love to drizzle the bread with really great quality oil- like this avocado oil by Newfound Foods– and toast it under the broiler for a few minutes. It helps to add firmness to the bread also so it can hold up unusually large and delicious portions of the cheesy spinach dip.
Here are some other options too-
- crackers (try some of Trader Joes Gourmet crackers!)
- crunchy vegetables- carrot sticks and celery sticks are amazing!
- Need a gluten-free option? TORTILLA CHIPS! this is what I love, and I love that is adds a little but of crunch.
