Here's a quick substitute for Buttermilk...
In a measuring cup add 1 Tablespoon of either white vinegar or lemon juice.{I usually use lemon juice} Fill it up the rest of the way to the 1 cup line with milk. Stir and allow to stand for 5 minutes.. and tada! Your done! Works like a dream.
