I have really fond memories of drinking limeade as a kid. My mom would buy those frozen concentrates that you mix with water and we’d enjoy limeade all summer. I still love limeade even now. I wanted to make this limeade extra special, and pink, in honor of Valentine’s Day. This drink is the perfect addition to your valentines meal, or a fun after school treat for your kids.
I made this limeade using my Blendtec. It’s really no secret that we LOVE our Blendtec’s around here. I use mine every single day. I even purchased a few more wild side jars so that I didn’t have to bother washing it multiple times a day. It has been the best investment for my kitchen that I’ve ever made. If you haven’t – you need to enter our giveaway! We are giving away a Blendtec 625 and many other things that you won’t want to miss.
Making this drink in the Blendtec is so easy that you won’t even believe it. I simply peeled and quartered my limes, rinsed my raspberries and added them to my blender along with some water, ice cubes, and sugar. I selected the whole juice cycle and within 60 seconds I had a fresh homemade raspberry limeade.
My husband and I have a long standing tradition of keeping Valentine’s Day really simple. We always stay in, avoid the crowds, and give each other just a card and an inexpensive gift. I make a nice dinner and we usually watch a movie. It’s something I look forward to – more about quality time than all of the glitz and bling. A few of my favorite dinners to make are Bacon Chicken Pasta or a Perfectly Grilled Steak. I like to finish off our dinner with some Creme Brûlée or Oreo Truffles. What are your Valentine’s Day traditions?
