Disney’s Ice Cream Nachos are a pretty famous item, and I have to agree they are a genius combination! Nachos of any kind give me all the heart eyes. You know what is even better? Ice cream nachos with homemade hot fudge sauce.
This is the perfect dessert because you can make the hot fudge ahead of time and basically pull everything out of the pantry and freezer for your guests, not to mention presentation is incredible. You’ll get oooh’s and ahhhh’s all around the table. It’s true, it’s happened to me in real life :)How to make Ice Cream Nachos
Step 1: The base of the nachos are simple. Cones. Take your favorite cones and crunch them up into chip size pieces.
Step 2: ICE CREAM! You only want the best! If you live in the mountain west you have to pick up a pint of Snoqualmie! Their flavors will blow you away! Here is a link to find a location near you to purchase some. For these nachos I used a combo of salted caramel, french toast biscotti, mint chocolate chip, and definitely chocolate! You’ll want to layer on several different flavors. Go crazy. The more the better!!Step 3: Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce
WORTH IT. All I can say is it is SO WORTH IT. Homemade hot fudge sauce does not even compared to the processed jarred kind. You have to make this! Don’t worry it is easy & uses simple ingredients. Takes only about 5 minutes.
You can store it in a jar and refrigerate it for later too. Heat up the whole jar, or heat up a few tablespoons at a time for individual (midnight) snacks. You’re whole family will love this! I LOVE making a double batch of this hot fudge sauce and taking it to neighbors and friends. Sometimes with a pint of ice cream. No one is ever saddened by a gift of hot fudge and ice cream. If you’ve got a friend on your mind, make some tomorrow, no excuses, they need you….and this fudge…and a pint of ice cream. Perhaps you should stay with them and eat it. ha ha.- 3-5 flavors of ice cream
