If it's one thing I do, it's bring people meals. I'm one of the first to offer to bring friends a meal after a baby, or surgery, or after a social media post that they're sick or had a miscarriage or husband lost a job or whatever it is, because food is my love language! It's one of the easiest ways I know and love to serve because it comes so naturally to me! One thing that is really so easy to bring to others is smokey spiced pulled pork tacos. I do the pork in my Power Pressure Cooker . . .
Serving through meals and food is one of my favorite ways to help others. It's been one of the most effective ways I personally could serve over the years in many ways. Over our married years we have not had much money to donate, or time, or resources- but! I do have food. I have a love and appreciation for what food can do. It can heal and bring comfort. It can alleviate so many burdens, and EVERYONE needs food. We have been participating in the LDS.org #lighttheworld campaign. My family . . .
Today we are starting a holiday series that I have been wanting to do for literally years. I began pitching the idea of a service series years ago, but the time just never seemed right. You might remember Des's post from last week with her Almond Poppyseed Bread- we were so lucky to collaborate with the LDS church and introduce their Christmas campaign #Light the World! The timing of our service series was . . .
We recently had the opportunity to assist Megan, from E.Interiors in her collaboration with World Market. Megan is someone I love! She not only has impeccable style and taste but has a generous heart, is smart in business and loving mother & friend. World Market approached her for a holiday entertaining post and she asked if I would be interested in providing food! I couldn't turn her down. Over on her post you can find tips and tricks for entertaining during holiday, but for this post I . . .
Around my house we take Halloween pretty seriously. We have more Halloween decorations than Christmas, we start planning costumes in July, and we always have a big adult Halloween party. We really look forward to some rare alone time with our friends sans kids. It gives us a chance to laugh and talk without being interupted and allows us to have tons and tons of fun! My husband and I have been throwing this party for about 11 years - so we have this down to a science! I want to share a . . .
