Everyone has made cobbler at some point, right? We have a quick one here and a Lemon Berry one here, and today I want to add another flavor profile to your cobbler repertoire. Balsamic Berry Cobbler--it's fantastically different. One of my most favorite little kitchen gadgets is my cherry pitter. IT'S AMAZING. Pit a handful of cherries and you can pop them into your mouth and savor away without having to spit out the pits. Hello cherry heaven!!! Grab one here. If you absolutely can't stand . . .
We are obsessed with our pressure cookers here at OhSo. Two of us have Instant Pots and the other two have Power Pressure Cookers XL. Tender meats cooked FAST seem to be the golden ticket, but I wanted to do something different. Maybe even vegetarian...this Pressure Cooker Veggie Lasagna is a total winner. Pressure cooker lasagna isn't really different from lasagna cooked in the oven. You use no-boil noodles, layer the sauce, ricotta, cheese as usual, add a bunch of veggies, and cover . . .
We are so excited for this Mother's Day giveaway! My most favorite part about being a mom is all the time I have to cook and bake for myself, and eat my meals when they're piping hot out of the oven. NOT. I wanted to create something that I can grab on-the-go, that will fill me up, and not make me eat again in an hour. These strawberry bran muffins are the most delicious ticket, I promise. I made Kadee's Mimi's Cafe Honey Bran Muffins for my sister who just had a baby last month and we . . .
All of us here at OhSo are mothers. There are 13 1/2 children between the four of us, so motherhood is a HUGE part of our lives! Not only do we text about recipe ideas, photography, collaborations, SEO, and scheduling allllll of the time, but kids and family life are also an integral part of our conversations and bond. I'm expecting my third child in 4 weeks (fingers crossed she comes, like, now), so I wanted to do something really special this year for Mother's Day for our readers who have . . .
Do you feel it?! Summer is coming! Lean, spicy shrimp, homemade croutons, and plenty of fresh greens make up the perfect summer dinner. Anything that uses a grill is a win in my book. Homemade croutons take about 5 minutes to assemble, then you bake. Easy! You can season them any way you'd like, you're totally going to have all of the ingredients on hand, and they're such a yummy addition. The homemade lemon caesar dressing also takes 5 minutes to blend up, doesn't have any egg yolk, and . . .
We DO like Green Eggs and Ham...Waffle Sandwich, that is! Aren't you tired of oatmeal or toast? Let's try something new for breakfast, shall we? Brunch? Brinner? Trust me, it all works. Crispy Waffles I have been on the hunt for the perfect, crispy waffle for YEARS. Years, my friends. We have a delicious, healthy, hearty recipe for Oatmeal Waffles on here, but I wanted something simple and light and crisp--you know, the guilty kind with absolutley no health benefits. I've tried folding in . . .
You know what Asian restaurants are really good at making? Two things--Asian food and doughnuts. Here in Texas (and back in California) we have real doughnut shops on every corner. So I've grown to be picky, and these absolutely do not compare to grocery store doughnuts! And the Asian food...MAN do they make some good fried rice, egg drop soup, crab rangoons, and pork spring rolls! There's a lot of food that I love to fry, and I feel like I fry more food than most. People complain of it . . .
I'm really loving this Buddha Bowl week! They're healthy and do wonders for your PB&J lunches. When we were texting about what recipes we'd do, I immediately knew my newest obsession, these Chimichurri Grilled Chicken Bowls were my ticket. Chimichurri I've had chimichurri a few times before, some better than others, and even have another recipe on the site for Chimichurri Steak Tacos. But when my Argentine neighbor moved in two houses down, you know I hit her up for her chimichurri. . . .
Girl Scout Cookie season is nearing an end, but they will live on in my heart forever. So forever, that I made a pie you can make year-round with those babies. Thin Mint Chocolate Pie. It's rich, it's cool, it's what I want from Girl Scouts. I'll tell you a secret: these aren't even Thin Mints! They're Grasshopper cookies by Keebler. Sold at your local grocery store all year long. I think these taste better than Thin Mints and are a heckofalot cheaper too! I keep them in the refrigerator . . .
We love tacos. I can't tell you how many posts we have here that have that sentence in it. You know what makes tacos lousy? Store-bought tortillas. You know what makes tacos great? Homemade flour tortillas. . . .
