Okay you guys. I have a love hate relationship with French Toast. I'm not a huge egg fan so often when I order french toast at restaurants I am disspointed when there is sooo much egg on them. I just can't eat it like that. This baked French toast recipe has lots of eggs in it, but doesn't have that "eggy" taste to it. It is so moist and flavorful, this recipe is one of my go-to's. It's easy to whip up at night, throw in the refrigerator. Let it sit overnight and all the flavors and juices . . .
It's been awhile since I've done a post! It's good to be back! Back with a fun, healthy taco dish that your family will love. It's a bit of a twist on the traditional ground beef, pinto bean cheesy taco, this one has a mediterranean feel! The best part, it literally takes at most 20 minutes to make, so if you are having one of THOSE days, which let's be honest happens to me about 4 out of the 7 days a week, this meal is a perfect go to. Lentil tacos are rich with protein, low in fat, . . .
Trader Joes is my saving grace on most days. I love their unique food options and the ability to throw a couple quick frozen and fresh items together for a healthy meal. I have always been a fan of this Chili Corn salsa. It's great for toppings on enchiladas or tamales. If you are like me having time is a rarity. I would love to be the mom that has homemade dinners every night, and super healthy snacks for my kids every day, but right now it's not my reality. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE . . .
About a month ago my husband and I bought a new table! Yeah! It only took us eight years:) I was thinking about what my style was when I got married and how different it is now. I don't really know if you could call it a style. I was just so excited at 21 to go shopping with the scan gun I think I got a little trigger happy. Maybe it takes 8 years to find a style that fits both you and your husband, I don't know. I do know that this new table is a definite mix of both of our tastes. So . . .
Going vegan or introducing new ways to eat clean have been popular as of late. For me, being vegetarian almost my whole life, I've never been scared of tofu. My mom cooked it all the time and is a wonderful cook, so I always really liked it. When OTHER people hear or read the word tofu they immediately want to skip this post. Am I right? Please don't. I will help you love it. Alone tofu is very bland. You HAVE to flavor it. Most of the time I marinate it, this recipe in particular you . . .
In college I was always the girl that wanted to throw fun parties. Usually they were themed, but usually about every month my friends and I would host a party. We had gourmet build-your-own-pizza parties, all-white parties, Halloween parties, "dip yourselves in pink" parties, etc. We usually provided all of the food, and usually it was finger foods and dips, so I'm ALWAYS on the look out for some good party foods. I love this because it comes together in 5 minutes and doesn't require . . .
We have Mexican food at my house at least once a week. That's a lot of enchiladas, tacos, mexican casseroles etc. I realized that amongst all the wonderful savory main dishes, I didn't have a great authentic Mexican rice dish! So my hunt began. Everything I tried seemed Americanized, so I enlisted the help of my friend Maria, who graciously came over and showed me the ropes! She's from Mexico and this recipe has been in her family for years. She makes it at least twice a week for her family . . .
Soup Soup Soup! I love all soups, but have an acidity problem with tomatoes so have a hard time eating tomato based soups, which leaves the alternative being cream based, which also leads to high calories. Now once in a while I would say who cares!? I do love creamy mashed potatoes and cream based sauces of almost any kind, but heres a way you can cut it out without losing the creamy consistency we all love. My mom and dad have been on and off . . .
This salad is my go to salad for any potluck, baby shower or party of any kind. It is ALWAYS a crowd favorite and it is sooo easy. Last year I was throwing a baby shower for my sister and her best friend and I had just had a baby. I was a little overwhelmed but wanted to make this a food baby shower no one would forget. We had avocado corn salad, individual veggie straw cups, pesto toasts, fruit with our fluffy fruit cream whip, artichoke dip with baguettes...it was soo good. Last minute my . . .
[amd-zlrecipe-recipe:4] I love soup. If I could live on one type of food soup might take the cake.Well that and an awesome salad. (Guys I'm vegetarian!) I have been growing up on this soup for ages and since its easy and super filling I thought I would share! I have people all the time asking,"what are some good kid friendly vegetarian recipes?" Well here is one! My son LOVES this soup and he is the pickiest eater. I'm lucky if he will eat macaroni and cheese and pizza. One . . .
